Melanie Quinceanera

I am now an official crew member of a nation wide media company that contracts local photographers to cover various events. I was excited to do another Quinceanera as the first one I did was in Brownsville and it was a pleasant dose of culture shock. To me Quinceaneras are like weddings… with teenagers… and no groom. There’s a ceremony, a reception, cake, dancing, and even a big dress!

I met Melanie for the first time that evening and she looked amazing in her dress! There was a beautiful mass at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and then we went to the Ye Kendal Inn, an amazing historical location I can’t wait to return to.

This was my first time doing video and photography for the same event and it was a fun challenge. I’ll be sure to post a highlights video when it is finished.
