Sean’s Senior Portraits

I volunteer at church with Sean’s parents so when his mother found out that I’m a photographer she wanted me to do his senior pictures. Sean was nervous about the shoot not knowing what to expect, after all, how many guys get senior portraits these days? But we had a few things in common and as always I find ways to make the customer feel relaxed and confident.

Sean’s mom really went the extra mile in collecting props and thinking of things that suited his style. One of his hobbies is video games, which I love but could never think of a cool way to incorporate that in to an outside. Well apparently I was over thinking because she had the genius idea of just bringing his tv and controller and setting up a mock scene of him playing video games. I loved the simplicity of it and contrast of an outdoor setting with an indoor hobby.

We took advantage of New Braunfels’ bluebonnets and some other manly looking scenes nearby. I decided to experiment with creative lighting and I think the result turned out great.
